Kolkata, Jan 3 (Reporter) Indian Super League (ISL) side Mohun Bagan Super Giant on Wednesday announced that they have parted company with head coach Juan Ferrando and will have Antonio Lopez Habas taking over in the same role. Ferrando took charge of Mohun Bagan SG midway during the ISL 2021-22 season and guided the club to the playoffs in his first season with the club. The following season was one to remember for Ferrando, with the Spaniard guiding the club to the ISL Cup during the 2022-23 season and then the Durand Cup. Habas, who previously served as head coach of the Mariners from July 2020 to December 2021, will begin his second stint with the club. He is among the most successful coaches in ISL history, having won two ISL Cups and the only head coach to do it.
