MPCC chief criticises Shinde, Fadnavis

Mumbai, Feb 4 (Reporter) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Sunday took a swipe at Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accusing them of pitting Maratha and OBC communities against each other. Speaking in this context, he alleged that the unethical and unconstitutional government in the state trampled the Constitution and tarnished democracy while coming to power and since coming to power, conflict is being created between the Maratha and OBC communities by disrupting social balance in the state. Referring to OBC leader and cabinet minister Chhagan Bhujbal, the MPCC chief said that Bhujbal is saying that he has resigned from the ministry, but neither the Chief Minister nor Deputy Chief Minister are saying anything about it. "Minister Bhujbal claims that he has resigned on 16 November and only after that started meetings to defend OBC reservation...," he said. "We have been continuously saying that the government is trying to create strife in the Maratha-OBC community in the state, today it is being confirmed," he said.
