Mumbai, Apr 6 (Reporter) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Saturday took a jibe at BJP and its leaders, noting their political agenda was not to end corruption but to blackmail corrupt people and give them an honourable entry into BJP. Speaking in this regard, he said that former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya has revealed that it was none other than Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who plotted to defame the opposition leaders by proving them corrupt. With this, Somaiya has exposed the deceitful and vindictive politics done by Fadnavis, he said. The MPCC chief further said that Somaiya used to accuse the leaders of the opposition parties of corruption, and with the help of Enforcement Directorate, CBI, and Income-Tax Department, he used to ensure that action is taken against them. Tired of this blackmailing, many joined BJP, he said and pointed that as soon as these people joined BJP, they were given constitutional posts with respect. Through Somiya's revelation, it became clear that Fadnavis was the mastermind behind all this and it was at his request that he did the work, he said. The real face of Fadnavis has been exposed as it has been revealed that it was Fadnavis who conspired against former chief minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as well. "It is no longer a secret that a racket was systematically run in Maharashtra in the name of corruption and that the villain running this racket is Fadnavis," the MPCC chief continued. "Maharashtra has a long political tradition, this tradition has been tarnished by Fadnavis. It was Fadnavis who defamed opponents by treating them as enemies, ending their political careers, and harassing them with false accusations," he charged.
