Mumbai, Aug 31 (Reporter) The NCP-SP has expressed fear that the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) will also suffer from corruption and paperwork due to alleged increased government interference in its affairs. He expressed this fear while reacting to a news story published in a section of media on Saturday claiming that MPSC's autonomy is under threat due to increased government interference in its working. Reacting to this on his social media X handle, NCP-SP state president Jayant Patil said that first the mess in MPSC exams, now officials and staff are complaining about government interference in MPSC. "Both these matters are very worrying. Normal, poor, promising kids work hard for MPSC exams. Given the 'black deeds' of the ruling Mahayuti government, there is fear that MPSC will also be infected with corruption, red tape due to increased government interference," he noted. Therefore, the autonomy of MPSC should be kept intact by considering the complaints of officers and employees, he asserted.
