Mysuru, Sep 30 (Reporter) In a major twist, Parvathi, the wife of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has formally announced her intention to surrender and return the compensation plots allotted to her by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Parvathi expressed her desire to cancel the deeds of 14 plots executed in her favour and to hand over possession of these plots back to MUDA. "Kindly take necessary steps in this regard as soon as possible,” she urged in her official communication. The controversy surrounding these plots has intensified scrutiny on Siddaramaiah, who faces criticism for the allocation of land by MUDA to his family members, including his wife. Allegations have emerged that these allocations were made without adhering to proper procedures and due diligence, raising concerns about favouritism and potential conflicts of interest. Opposition parties and critics allege that the land was allocated at undervalued rates or in violation of existing rules governing urban development and land acquisition during Siddaramaiah's tenure as Chief Minister.
