Mumbai, Nov 15 (Reporter) A renowned musician from Mumbai was arrested by a team of Kolkata police here for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old girl student at his institute here, officials said on Friday. The musician Sanjay Chakraborty, was arresed from a flat in suburban area in the city. He was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The renowned mussician was produced in a local court which had granted a transit remand moved by official of the Charu Market police team. The incident took place in June when the singer allegedly molested the girl student at the yoga institute in Mumbai where he conducts singing classes. After the incident, the victim girl narrated the entire incident to her parents who lodged a complaint to Belgharia police station in North 24 Parganas district in September, prompting the police to lodge a zero FIR and later it was transferred to Charu Market police station for investigation as the incident occurred within their jurisdiction," the official further said ...////...
