Mumbai: Nine injured as fire breaks out due to gas cylinder leakage in Chembur area

Mumbai, Feb 2 (Reporter) Nine persons were injured after fire broke out following gas cylinder leakage near the Siddharth Colony in the Chembur area of Mumbai suburb. According to fire brigade sources, the fire broke out at 2248 hours late on Thursday night, police said on Friday. While six persons were admitted to the Rajawadi Hospital, one each were admitted in Sion Hospital, Manek Hospital and Shatabdi Hospital. Those admitted to Rajawadi Hospital are Sangita Gaikwad (55), Jitendra Kamble (46), Yashoda Gaikwad (56), Narmada Gaikwad (60), Ramesh Gaikwad (56) and Shreyash Sonkhambe (17). The condition of three of them, Yashoda Gaikwad, Narmada Gaikwad and Ramesh Gaikwad was stated to be critical. In Sion Hospital, Sherya Gaikwad (40), admitted with 40 per cent burn injuries is stable. In Manek Hospital, Vrishabh Gaikwad (23) admitted with 30 per cent burns, is stable.
