Nandurbar / Nanded, Nov 14 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday asserted that the Congress-India Alliance will defeat the anti-constitutional forces and form the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra. Addressing an election rally in Nandurbar and Nanded for the Congress and other MVA candidates, he said that the Constitution of the country has given everyone the right to live with dignity but Prime Minister Narendra Modi calls the Constitution as an empty book. "The Constitution is not a blank book, but it contains ideology of Birsa Munda, Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar," he noted. The Constitution contains the knowledge of India, the soul of the country, but Modi has termed the Constitution as a blank book and with that, he has insulted personalities like Birsa Munda, Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Phule and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Rahul Gandhi said that while the Constitution mentions tribals as 'forest dwellers', the BJP-RSS people are depriving tribals of their rights to water, forest and land. "Just as Birsa Munda fought against the colonial rulers for the rights of tribals and was martyred, today we have to fight against Narendra Modi and BJP," he said. He said that the Congress protected water, forest and land of tribals by bringing Land Acquisition Bill and Pesa Act, but as soon as BJP came to power, they took away the rights of tribals by calling them 'Vanvasi', he charged. Taking a swipe at the BJP government, Rahul Gandhi further said that the BJP government sent big projects from Maharashtra to other states including Gujarat, due to which the youth of Maharashtra have to go to other states for jobs. Vedanta Foxconn semiconductor project would have provided employment to 10,000 youths, Tata Airbus project would have provided employment to another 10,000 youths, iPhone project would have provided employment to 75,000 youths, Drug Park would have provided employment to 80,000 youths, GAIL Petrochemical project would have created 21,000 jobs, he said. But the government lost five lakh jobs in Maharashtra by sending all the projects to Gujarat, leaving the local youths without jobs, he said. He also accused the Modi government of giving land worth Rs one lakh crore at Dharavi in Mumbai to industrialist Gautam Adani...////...
