Mumbai, Feb 25 (Reporter) Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly and Congress leader, Vijay Wadettiwar, announced on Sunday that the leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi has taken a stand to boycott the customary tea party of Mahayuti (grand coalition) 'fraudulent' government, saying that they will not attend the tea party of such a government. He blamed the government for nurturing interests of scammers and contractors and charged that with the blessings of the government, criminalisation of politics is going on. He accused the government of deliberately ignoring the critical water issue and alleged that the government has engineered a rift in society in order to create political unrest. Due to negligence of the government, the image of the state is tarnished, he charged. Continuing his criticism further, the Opposition leader alleged that during the rule of this government, criminality in politics has increased, impacting the ideal, civilised political tradition of the state. Also, narcotic drugs worth Rs 2,200 crore have been recovered in Pune, but the government is silent, he claimed. Some elected representatives have muddied the political environment by making inflammatory statements and provocative speeches. he charged. He also accused the government of grossly cheating the Maratha community and farmers of the state. Wadettiwar alleged that the government has once again cheated the Maratha community in the name of reservation and claimed that it has given a reservation that will not hold up in court. Talking about farmers, he claimed that farmers have been grossly cheated, as they are not getting guaranteed prices for their crops. Also, milk producing farmers are not getting the subsidy, he further claimed.
