"My Bihar, My Road" app would improve rural transportation: Nitish

Patna, Dec 19 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the "My Bihar, My Road" app would not only improve rural transportation but would also accelerate infrastructure development through people's participation. While dedicating the app here on Thursday, Kumar said that along with improving rural transportation it will help in the development of the infrastructure. He directed the authorities concerned to maintain the roads and ensure speedy remedy to the people's complaints and monitor it regularly. Through the app, the people can report about the road conditions to the department, he said adding that it would be a problem-sharing platform where they can upload the photographs also. The app has been developed for transparent maintenance and upkeep of the roads. The list of all monitored 65,000 Km long roads would be in the app which is available in the Google Play Store. The Chief Minister also flagged off 43 deluxe buses introduced by the Transport Department for convenient and hassle-free communication. On the occasion, the Chief Minister initiated the construction of 6659 sports fields in 5671 gram panchayats to promote sports in the state.
