Kadapa, Feb 1 (Reporter) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday made a promise to complete the Godavari-Banakacherla project with the Centre's cooperation and supply water to every acre in Rayalaseema besides extending all kinds of incentives for commercial crops in the region. Had the TDP come to power again in 2019, the Handri-Neeva water would have been supplied to this region by 2020 itself, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said during an interaction with people of various sections besides the IT employees after participating in the distribution of NTR pension at Motakatta of Sambepalli mandal in Rayachoti Assembly segment. The Chief Minister declared that his sole objective is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a poverty-free State by 2047. Besides bringing all the systems back on track, this Government is successful in getting Rs 10 lakh crore investments to the State in just a matter of seven months besides repaying Rs 22,252 crore loans raised by the previous government, the Chief Minister observed. Promising to make the State as a 'Work-from-Home' hub, he recalled that he made this as a campaign during the last elections. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the human resources can be properly utilised with co-working space and work-from-home systems. Also, the necessary space will be created to provide opportunities to the talented youth from villages and small towns by imparting necessary training to them, he noted. Mentioning that he had once promoted IT when no one was aware of it, the Chief Minister said with the introduction of the internet facility technology has undergone radical reforms. Telugu persons are holding very high positions across the globe, he said and stated that while the average annual per capita income of an American is $60,000, the annual per capita income of Telugus staying there is a whooping $1.20 lakh. The Centre is supplying oxygen to the State which is on ventilator, the Chief Minister remarked and said that Rs 12,000 crore has been sanctioned for Polavaram while funds have been sanctioned for Amaravati, Visakha, Kopparthy and Orvakallu industrial parks. "Reposing complete faith in me, the farmers in Amaravati sacrificed 35,000 acres without taking even a single rupee. You all have witnessed the facts but some leaders are making some bad remarks about Amaravati," Mr Chandrababu said. Pensions are being distributed for 64 lakh people every month with an expenditure of Rs 32,520 crore per annum, the Chief Minister said and stated that no other State in the country is spending this much amount...////...
