Nadda reviews membership drive of BJP in Bihar

Patna, Sep 28 (Reporter) BJP president J P Nadda reviewed the ongoing membership drive of the party in Bihar on Saturday. Nadda, after his arrival from New Delhi, paid tributes to martyrs of the quit India movement at the Saptamurti memorial in Patna and later held a meeting with party legislators and senior leaders at the state headquarters of the BJP. He also reviewed the ongoing membership drive of the party and exhorted leaders and workers to connect the party with the common man as much as possible. He asked for further accelerating the membership drive of the party. BJP president also felicitated those who won medals during recently held Paralympics and appreciated their achievements. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had put stress on promoting sports in the country and took personal interest to ensure the good performance of the country in international events, he added. " It is important to note that PM Modi himself interacts with sportspersons before they go to participate in international events and also after their returning from the events ," Nadda said, adding that such gestures of PM Modi greatly helped in boosting the morale of sportspersons. Before the Narendra Modi government was voted to power, the Olympics and Paralympics used to be taken as routine affairs by the then government, but the scenario had changed now, and the performance of the country had improved remarkably in international events, he noted.
