Belagavi, Mar 5 (Reporter) BJP National President JP Nadda on Tuesday blew the Lok Sabha poll bugle by seeking an explanation from AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge about pro-Pakistan slogans raised at Vidhana Soudha by Congress supporters.
"The nation wants an explanation from Kharge about pro-Pakistan slogans at Vidhana Soudha. What makes you support those who spread terror? Are you in favour of India or Pakistan," Nadda asked Kharge while addressing a public rally at Chikkodi. He is on a visit to Belagavi district.
Interestingly, Hussain is political secretary of Kharge.
Nadda accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar for remaining silent over the pro-Pakistan sloganeering. Their silence on it suggests that they support the perpetrators.
In a scathing tirade against Congress government in the state, Nadda said everything seems to be free, including terrorism going by the style of Congress government's functioning.
Nadda also stated that the BJP was the only party that stands with Muslim women. Delegitimising triple talaq by the central government is one of the testimonies, he said.
Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa said the party would write to the Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, who is Rajya Sabha chairman, to desist from administering oath to Hussain as member of Rajya Sabha until the inquiry on pro-Pakistan ends.
He also said that the party would ask the Karnataka government to file a case against Hussain and initiate an inquiry on the sloganeering issue in the Vidhana Soudha.
Meanwhile, a delegation of BJP leaders on Tuesday filed a police complaint in Bengaluru against Hussain and his supporters over the alleged pro-Pakistan sloganeering in Vidhana Soudha...////...
