Shimla, Mar 30 (Reporter) A major road mishap was averted when a HRTC bus from Sumdo to Reckong Peo skidded on snowy roads and overturned at Maling Nullah, Upper Kinnaur on Saturday. Deputy commissioner Kinnaur Dr Amit Kumar Sharma said that at the time of mishap 17 passengers were on the board and all the crew members are safe now. According to Deputy commissioner one dozen passengers also suffer minor injury in the mishap including the driver and conductor. All the injured have been discharged from the hospital after being given first aid. According to the information, at around 8.30 in the morning, HRTC bus (HP-25A-5384) was coming from Samdo to Reckong Peo. After this, the local people took out all the injured from the bus and took them to Reckong Peo Hospital. Transport Corporation Inspector Gopal Negi said that all the 12 passengers including bus driver Manjeet and conductor Avinash are safe. Some have suffered minor injuries and have been given first aid. According to Deputy commissioner most places of the district experiencing snowfall since last night. Due to mounting of snow on the roads has made it slippery. In such a situation, movement on the roads can prove dangerous.
