Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 (Reporter) Former Odisha Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep condolences at the passing away of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In his condolence message, Patnaik described Dr. Singh as an efficient administrator, a distinguished parliamentarian, and a successful economist. He highlighted Dr. Singh's role as the architect of India’s economic reforms, which transformed the lives of millions and established India as a significant economic power on the global stage. "Humility and erudition were the most striking aspects of Dr. Singh’s personality," Patnaik said, paying a heartfelt tribute. He added that the country has lost a great personality with Dr. Singh's demise. Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Srikant Jena also expressed profound grief over the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh. In his message, Jena described Dr. Singh as not only a towering figure in Indian politics but also a visionary economist whose policies reshaped the nation. "His humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the country were unparalleled," Jena stated. Reflecting on his personal association with Dr. Singh, Jena said, "I had the distinct honor of serving as a Minister under his leadership. Dr. Singh and I shared a long and enriching association during those years, working closely on several critical national issues."
