NCCF onion sale kickstarts in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Sep 23 (Reporter) The National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India Limited (NCCF), Bengaluru branch, has launched the sale of onions at a subsidised rate as part of the Price Stabilisation Fund (PSF), following directives from the Government of India. Onions will be priced at Rs 35 in mobile vans throughout the city. This initiative aims to provide affordable onions to the public amid rising market prices. Onions sourced from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will be available in Bengaluru starting on Monday, covering all 28 assembly constituencies. Ravi Chandra, Branch Manager, announced on Monday that each constituency will receive four mobile vans, totalling 112 for distribution. “Sales will continue until onion prices stabilise,” he said.
