NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) to announce party candidates for Satara, Mhada Lok Sabha seats soon

Kolhapur, Mar 29 (Reporter) While refusing to divulge the names of probable candidates for the Satara and Mhada Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) chief Sharad Pawar said on Friday that he will announce the party nominees for these two Lok Sabha constituencies in next two to three days. Talking with reporters here after a meeting with NCP workers to know their views on potential candidates, he said that since sitting MP Srinivas Patil has withdrawn his name from the election fray owing to his health problem, he would announce the name of probable candidate for Satara LS seat in next two to three days. He said that there are four shortlisted candidates -- Shashikant Shinde, Balasaheb Patil, Sunil Mane and Satyajeet Patil, of whom one will be nominated for Satara LS seat. He clarified that the party nominee will be the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)'s candidate for Satara. On the Mhada LS constituency, Pawar said that he has already announced that the Mhada seat would be given to a member of the Dhangar community. On other hand, the Mahayuti (grand alliance) has not made any official announcement of its candidate for the Satara LS seat, as a tug-of-war was going on between alliance partners BJP and NCP (Ajit Pawar group). Incidentally, before any official announcement, BJP leader Udyanraje Bhosale has himself announced his name for the Satara seat, while NCP (Ajit Pawar) has also staked a claim on the seat...////...
