Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 20 (Reporter) Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister and NDA candidate for Thiruvananthapuram, on Saturday unveiled a comprehensive vision document for development of Thiruvananthapuram over next five years. The plan includes projects spanning various sectors, both short-term and long-term, to enhance overall progress and development. At a grand public event held at Valiyathura, the development blueprint was unveiled by Juwal, a fourth standard student. The recommendations from the general public were carefully considered, resulting in formulation of development plans for all seven legislative assembly constituencies in Thiruvananthapuram. The Vision Document encompasses initiatives in fields like oceanography, semiconductors, electronics, IT research, technological innovation centres, education, healthcare, tourism, textiles, aviation, metro and mobility infrastructure, aiming to transform Thiruvananthapuram. “This is not just a mere promise, I am committed to implementing these plans over next five years. Once the results of the elections are out in June and the new Modi government assumes power, I will begin my work as a minister from here," said Chandrasekhar. "To address long-standing issues that have been neglected for decades, we need sustained efforts and long-term strategies. Water supply, waste management and healthcare are among the critical areas that require attention.
