Patna, July 12 (Reporter) After an order from Patna High Court, a special court on Friday directed the Bihar police to hand over 13 accused in the NEET paper leak case to the CBI for 15 days of custodial interrogation in this connection.
Special Judicial Magistrate Harshwardhan Singh, citing a directive from Patna High Court, ordered Bihar police to hand over 13 accused of the NEET paper leak case to the CBI for their custodial interrogation for 15 days in this connection.
The special magistrate issued the directive to the Beur jail superintendent to ensure handing over the accused to the CBI as soon as they were lodged there after their arrest in connection with the case.
The special magistrate had earlier rejected the plea of the CBI for custodial interrogation of 13 accused in the case, following which the premier investigation agency had approached Patna High Court challenging the order of the lower court.
The case was earlier being investigated by the Economic Offense Unit (EOU) of the Bihar police, but later it was handed over to the CBI following the directive of the Centre...////...
