Patna, May 29 (Reporter) Senior RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday alleged neither was there democracy nor government in Bihar and only bureaucrats were calling the shots.
Yadav while responding to queries of media persons regarding school timing during the summer, when state was reeling under heatwave, said neither was their democracy nor government in Bihar. When state was reeling under scorching heat, school timing should have been rescheduled to provide relief to children specially of lower classes, he added.
RJD leader said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had issued instructions to change the school timing but it was ignored by the officials.There was no government and only bureaucrats were calling the shots, he remarked.
Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar had requested state government few days ago to declare holiday in schools due to scorching heat but it went unheeded. School timing has been fixed from 6 AM to 12 PM in Bihar which is causing lots of difficulties for students particularly of lower classes.
A large number of school students fell unconscious due to scorching heat and some of them were admitted to local hospitals for treatment. Most of those admitted were discharged after treatment shortly. Districts where students complained of uneasiness and other complications are -- Begusarai, Siwan, Munger, Jamui, Sheikhpura and others...////...
