Chennai, Nov 10 (Reporter) A fresh Low Pressure Area is likely to form over southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 36 hours. Met office on Sunday said under its influence a fresh spell of heavy rainfall activity is likely over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala during November 12 to 15. The cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels persisted over the same region today. Under its influence a Low Pressure area is likely to form over the same area during the next 36 hours. It is likely to move slowly nearly westwards towards Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka coasts during the subsequent two days. A trough runs from the above cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal to eastcentral Bay of Bengal and extends up to middle tropospheric levels. Light to moderate rainfall at a few places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning is very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe till November 14. Heavy rain is also forecast for Chennai, coastal districts and in Cauvery delta region. The Met office have issued Yellow Alert for Chennai and other districts from November 13 to 15. Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Tamil Nadu during November 11-15; Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema during November 12-14; Kerala and Mahe from November 13-16. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai districts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal area tomorrow. On November 12, Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram districts of TamilNadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. On November 13, Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipet, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. On November 14, Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Theni, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal area, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. On November 15, Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Theni, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal area and Kerala. Squally weather with Wind Speed 35-45 kmph and gusting to 55 kmph is likely to prevail over South Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area from November 11-14. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the above sea areas during this period...////...
