Kolkata, Jan 24 (Reporter) West Bengal Police have arrested nine persons, accused of attacking the hospital staff, including medics, and police personnel following a dispute over treatment of a injured person in a private hospital in West Bengal's East Bardhaman district, official sources said on Friday. Anamoy super speciality hospital medical superintendent Sakuntala Sarkar said exchange of words between the friends and relatives of the injured man and hospital staff on Thursday afternoon during the treatment led to a dispute and the former began attacking the latter in which 4/5 staff were wounded. When police arrived the patient party also attacked them in which five were injured, Sarkar said. One of the policemen and four hospital staff were admitted into the hospital with serious wounds and four policemen were released after treatment. Later reinforcement from Saktigarh police station arrived and took control of the situation and arrested 9 accused of attacking policemen and hospital staff.
