Patna, Dec 29 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday condoled the demise of former IPS officer and veteran social worker Kishore Kunal.
Kumar in his message said that Kunal was not only an upright police officer but also a person having interest in social service and spiritualism.
He remained associated with several organisations and worked for service to the society in various capacities, the CM noted.
"Demise of Kunal was a great loss to administrative, religious, spiritual and social field ", Nitish said, adding that as head of Bihar State Religious Board and secretary of Mahavir Mandir Trust, he contributed to society immensely with his sustained efforts and rare dedication. His contribution to society would always be remembered, Kumar said.
The Chief Minister prayed to almighty for eternal peace of departed soul. He also prayed to God for giving strength to bereaved family members in this hour of tragedy.
Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, RJD chief Lalu Prasad, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and other senior leaders also expressed shock over the death of Kunal.
