Patna, May 14 (Reporter) Leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav cracked jokes on Tuesday saying Chief Minister Nitish Kumar fell sick on the day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi filing his nomination papers from Varanasi for Lok Sabha elections.
Yadav while addressing a public meeting in Madhubani in favour of INDIA bloc candidate, said Chief Minister Kumar had once given him tips on how to oust BJP from the power at the Centre in 2024. As per tips given by him, he was working hard to ensure that the BJP could be ousted from power, he added.
Leader of the opposition cracked jokes remarking, " Chacha fell sick on the day of Prime Minister Modi filing nominations from Varanasi seat for Lok Sabha elections". Chacha (Nitish) was giving full support to him in his mission to oust BJP from the power, he quipped.
"I have nothing to say against Chacha Ji as he has been hijacked by BJP", Yadav said adding that Kumar was not feeling easy in NDA as he was being humiliated by BJP there. It was certain that people had made up their minds to oust the BJP from the power in ongoing Lok Sabha elections, he pointed out.
The leader of the opposition said that PM Modi had made tall promises for Bihar of taking steps to stop the migration of youths from the state in search of their livelihood. Modi had also promised to reopen all sugar mills closed since long, he recalled and added that none of the promises made by him was fulfilled.
Yadav said that Modi was talking about apprehension of "Mangalsutra" being snatched from Hindu women if the INDIA bloc voted to power, which was completely baseless and highly inappropriate for the PM to say such things. Grand Alliance government headed by Chief Minister Kumar, which was in power for 17 months since August 2022, had given jobs to 5 lakh youths, he said adding that most of them got married after being employed. On getting married after getting jobs, youths gifted " Mangalsutra " to their wives, so the fact was contrary to allegations, the PM was making, he further said adding that his party gave opportunities to youths to gift Mangalsutra and where was the question of it being snatched, as alleged to mislead the people...////...
