Nitish initiates 146 projects worth Rs 1328.25 crore for development of Bhagalpur district

Patna/ Bhagalpur, Feb 1, (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated 146 schemes worth Rs 1328.25 crore for the development of the Bhagalpur district. During the fourth phase of his Pragati Yatra, Kumar visited Bhagalpur on Saturday where he initiated the projects designed for over all progress of Bhagalpur district. After reviewing the progress of the ongoing projects, Kumar announced for construction of a new interstate bus stand in Bhagalpur and construction of sports complex to promote local talent. He also announced to provide facility for cancer treatment at Bhagalpur Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital. In addition to this, Kumar announced the development of the Industrial Area in Goradih block and construction of New Green Field Airport. The Chief Minister said that he would request the centre to include the existing Airport of Bhagalpur in Udaan scheme for initiating take off of small aircraft. The Chief Minister said that a check dam would be constructed in the upstream of Godiyari river and a railway over bridge would also be constructed on the Baunsi railway line. Kumar kicked off agriculture advice portal based on Panchayat level weather for benefit of the farmers. He said this portal would provide information about the weather and facilitate the farmers for deciding their agriculture activities.
