Patna, Oct 16 (Reporter) Leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not in a position to govern the state due to his advance age and illness.
"Personally I respect Nitish Kumar but he is now tired and not able to control many things which are required for good governance", Yadav told media persons here.
He added that highhandedness of bureaucrats was at its peak. People were aware about game behind transfer and posting of officials, Yadav remarked making an indirect reference to corruption involved in such exercise.
"NDA government has no achivement to place before the people, so it is spreading hatred to seek votes", the RJD leader said, adding that the Grand Alliance government during its regime from
August 22 to January this year, had done lot of works including giving 5 lakhs government jobs to youths.
Caste census was conducted and upper limit of reservation was increased to 65 percent besides another ten percent for Economically Weaker Section(EWS) in government services during tenure of Grand Alliance government, the former Deputy Chief Minister pointed out.
Yadav said that NDA leaders used to talk about giving special status to Bihar but after Lok Sabha election, they forgot it. The Chief Minister was in a powerful position to pull down Narendra Modi government but he was doing nothing to enjoy power in his personal interest, he remarked.
Tejashwi also slammed Nitish Kumar government for forcible installation of smart meters dubbing it as smart cheaters. People were getting inflated electricity bills due to smart meters, he stated...////...
