Nitish welcomes interim budget, says it will trigger allround development

Patna, Feb 1(Reporter) In less than a week, after joining hands with BJP, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar welcomed interim budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, saying it will trigger allround development in the country.Kumar who had been highly critical of policies and functioning of Narendra Modi government till one week ago, changed his stand after joining hands with BJP and welcomed the interim budget presented in Lok Sabha by Sitharaman. Interim budget would make positive impact in education and it would also help in improving thecondition of poor and farmers, he added."Budget of MNREGA has been increased from Rs 60,000 Crores to Rs 86,000 Crores which would help poor in getting more and more employments ", the Chief Minister said adding that fund allocated for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojna would be of great help in improving economic condition of farmers.Three new Railway Economic Corridors proposed to be created would accelerate the pace of development, Kumar said. It would lead in reduction of cost and improvement in logistic efficiency, he further added.The CM said that loan amount had been increased for students to pursue higher studies. Special housing scheme proposed to be launched would provide good dwelling units for poor and middle class who were living in slums and rented accommodations, he said.Nitish said that tax rebates had been extended for one year for startup which would accelerate the pace of industrialisation.
