Bhubaneswar, July 18 (Reporter) Ancient and relevant Odia literature and books will be popularised globally through AI, digitization, and modern technology, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said here on Thursday. As Odisha completes its centenary as a separate state by 2036, collective responsibility should be taken to build a positive society, Pradhan said while launching the "Kishore Chandrananda Champu English translation book," written by poet Kavisurya Baldev Rath. The Union Minister said the well-known text Stutichintamani, written by saint poet Bhim Bhoi, is unique. Poet Bhim Bhoi, he said, has given the message of true humanity through his writings. Similarly, Balaram Das, through the Lakshmi Purana, described the character of Shreya Chandaluni and talked about anti-casteism, while Poet Sarla Da shad composed the Odia Mahabharata, the union minister said. He said a resolution should be made to popularise the Odiya language and literature not only in the entire country but also the world over. Pradhan said that in the present day, humanity and reforms are not seen among the people, but in the past, Jai Rajguru, Baxi Jagbandhu, Vir Surendra Sai, and Martyr Baji Raut did not hesitate to give freedom to the country. Commenting on the book, the Union Minister said that he is happy to launch this book in the presence of prominent Odia writers. He said the English translation of such a great work will further boost interest in Odia literature among the readers and writers of the whole world. Odia literature, Pradhan said, is grateful to American researcher David Deneen, the State Museum, and Publisher Vidyapuri for the English translation of this precious poem. The Union Minister suggested that Kishore Chandrananda Champu's book should be translated into all Indian languages. He said that all Indian languages are being given priority under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the government of India is emphasising vocabulary. He stated that emphasis on the Indian language will increase clarity in our society. The output will be higher if critical thinking is expressed in the original language. Stating that language is a tool of economic empowerment and a medium to raise self-esteem and move from poverty to prosperity...////...
