Bhubaneswar, Aug 13 (Reporter) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday held discussion with the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari at New Delhi on projects worth Rs.21,650 crore.
Chief Minister Office (CMO) sources here said the meeting reached a consensus to expedite the road projects with the close coordination between the state and the centre.
Majhi had assured Gadkari that the Odisha government will give priority to the road projects and extend all assistance and clear the problems of land acquisition for the projects.
CMO sources said a consensus was reached at the meeting on four projects for which a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared soon.
The projects are 60 km long Bhubaneswar-Puri six lane road whose estimated cost will be Rs.1800 crore and Rs.10,000 crore six lane road along with service road between Chandikhol and Barbail (200Kms),54 km long Khurda- Nayagarh four lane road along with service road at a cost of Rs.1100 crore,and 46km long four lane Kesinga- Junagarh on National Highway number 26 at an estimated cost of Rs.1000 crore.
Official sources said Gadkari has also agreed to look after and consider the proposal of various other road projects proposed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
They are 969 km long Motu-Tiringi Atal Express project ,Jharsuguda- Balasore(383 km) ,Nuapada- Astaranga (491 km),Brundbahal- Gopalpur( 357 km),Sambalpur- Satbhaya(404km).
Majhi also proposed the grand ring roads between Berhampur- Jaypore(287 km),Jeypore –Rourkela (638km),Rourkela –Jaleswar (391 km) and Jaleswar-Berhampur(442 km)...////...
