Odisha govt. declares half day holiday on Jan 22

Bhubaneswar, Jan 19(Reporter) Odisha government has declared that all government offices in the state will remain closed for half day on the occasion of consecration of Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya on January 22. A notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management department said all state government offices as well as the courts will remain closed for half day till 2.30 pm in view of the celebration of Ram Lalla Pran Pratistha at Ayodhya on January 22 . The Centre had also announced a half-day holiday for all central government offices till 2.30 pm for the consecration ceremony of Ram temple at Ayodhya on January 22. Earlier on January 16 last, Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly Jaya Narayan Mishra had requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to declare January 22 as a public holiday in the state so that all the devotees of Lord Ram will be able to be part of the big celebration of the Pran Prathistha of Prabhu Shri Ram on January 22...////...
