Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (Reporter) Odisha joined the rest of the country in celebrating the 75th Republic Day at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here on Friday. Governor Raghubar Das unfurled the tricolour at a state level function in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. A total of 64 contingents including the ITBP, CRPF, BSF, Fire, ODRAF, Odisha Home Guard, RPF participated in the parade. Apart from that, four cultural groups, a skating team from Odisha Skating Academy and Dare Devils also participated in the parade. The daredevil show on bike by 75 boys and girls and the dance performances by four cultural troupes were the star attractions of the day. As many as 12 tableaux of various departments of Odisha government took part in the function displaying and highlighting various achievements. A three-tier security arrangements have been made in and around the Gandhi Marg. The QRT, ATS and canine squads were also deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
