Bhubaneswar, Jan 24 (Reporter) In a tragic incident, six members of a jatra party were killed and eleven others injured, some of them critically, when a truck carrying them overturned at Duarsuni ghat in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday morning. Sources said the truck of Dhauli Gananatya was carrying light and sound equipment along with the members of the jatra party and on its way towards Jaleswar from Rairangpur when the accident took place. Eyewitnesses said the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheel while negotiating a curve on the ghat road due to fog and mild drizzling. The truck overturned and fell into a 20 feet gorge. Local villagers and fire brigade personnel rushed to the accident site and rescued the jatra party members trapped inside the truck.
