Odisha to implement CM Kisan Scheme soon : Singh Deo

Bhubaneswar, Aug 28 (Reporter) The Odisha government will soon implement the CM Kisan Scheme in the state to empower the farmers, Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo told the state Assembly on Wednesday. Singh Deo who holds the Agriculture and Farmers empowerment portfolio said this in a written reply to a question from BJP MLA Manas Kumar Dutta. He said under the CM Kisan Scheme, the modalities of which will be declared soon, will benefit the small, marginal and landless farmers in the state. The flagship programme will replace the Kalia scheme launched by the previous BJD government in the state. Under the scheme, the small and marginal farmers will be paid Rs 4000 in two phases, Rs.2000 in each phase while the landless farmers would get Rs 12,500 in three phases. Singh Deo said all eligible farmers in the state will be covered under the CM Kisan scheme adding that the farmers have to register their name on the CM Kisan portal to avail the benefit...////...
