Old pension scheme likely for Maha teachers: Ajit Pawar

Mumbai, July 1 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday said a decision will be taken over the next three months on giving the option of old pension scheme to teaching and non-teaching staff working in semi-government and aided institutions. The Finance Minister, in reply to a question in Legislative Assembly, said that the government recently gave an option of old pension scheme to a section of government employees whose posts were advertised before November 1, 2005 but they joined service after that however, the facility could not be extended to teachers as the matter was in court.
