Chennaui, Oct 29 (Reporter) After remaining stagnant for a longer period, the fuel
prices in the country are expected to come down, thanks to initiatives by the
OMC's, who have hiked the petrol bunk dealers' commission on Tuesday night
due to drop in crude prices globally.
The decrease in prices is likely from midnight tonight ahead of the Deepavali
festival.
Sharing the posts on X by OMC's Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri
said "BPCL is pleased to announce an increase in Petrol Pump Dealers' Commission,
effective tomorrow, for enhancing customer services and staff welfare at no additional
cost to consumers. We wish our channel partners continued success in our shared
vision of serving our customers with trust, convenience and reliability."
"Additionally, as part of our commitment to affordable fuel, we're introducing intra-state
freight rationalisation to reduce price disparities in Petrol/Diesel, benefiting consumers,
especially in remote areas, except in states under Model Code of Conduct", it said.
"Wishing everyone a joyous festive season ahead!@HardeepSPuri", he said.
Further sharing, "On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, HPCL is happy to announce
revision in dealer commission effective 30th October 2024. This will have no additional
impact on the Retail Selling Price of Petrol & Diesel. Thru this revision, HPCL aims to
strengthen the ability of our dealer network in delivering superior customer experience
and enhanced service standards for millions of customers who visit our Retail Outlets
on a daily basis."
"This revision also aims at delivering happiness to all the committed staff employed at
our Retail Outlets & their families", it said.
