Imphal, July 14 (Reporter) A CRPF personnel was killed, a CRPF jawan and two Manipur Police personnel were injured when suspected Kuki militants attacked them on Sunday at Jiribam. Police identified the martyred CRPF personnel as Ajay Kumar Jha. All the injured personnel were treated at Jiribam Hospital. Heavily armed militants from Seijang Kuki village started a major offensive on Sunday morning and they targeted a Meitei village and security personnel for over three hours. Police said the CRPF personnel was shot on his forehead while he was driving a vehicle. The precision with which the attacks were carried out showed that the militants were using sophisticated weapons, a Jiribam resident said. This was the fifth time attacks were carried out from the same area and attempts to search for the area were stopped by Kuki women.
