One dies in explosion at scrap shop in Kolkotta

Kolkata, Dec 6 (Reporter) Explosion at a scrap shop near the Rabindra Bharati University under the Sinthi police station in the northern part of Kolkata on Friday morning killed one and critically injured another, official sources said. Sources said the explosion occurred while a person was trying to dismantle an abandoned old bus using a gas cutter. The residents resented and accused the Police of allowing the shop to operate in the area illegally. Eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred when the deceased was using an inflamed gas cutter of the abandoned bus. The fire went inside the diesel tanker and exploded. They said while one person fell flat on the spot, another person's hand was severed in the explosion. Both the injured were taken to the RG Kar Hospital where the medics declared one dead and the survivor was admitted to the hospital...////...
