Patna, May 21 (Reporter) One person was killed and two others were injured in alleged post-poll violence on Tuesday in Saran parliamentary constituency, where RJD candidate Rohini Acharya is pitted against former Union minister and senior BJP leader Rajeev Pratap Rudy in Lok Sabha elections held on Monday. District Magistrate Aman Samir said that Rohini had reached at booth number 318-19 on Monday evening and asked a man present there to leave the place. It triggered an altercation between them and their supporters clashed near the booth, he said. "Due to tension brewing there, supporters of both candidates had heated exchange this morning again and one group allegedly opened fire, killing one on the spot while two others were injured," the DM said and informed that two people were arrested in this connection. Raids were being carried out to nab others involved in this incident, he added. Meanwhile, both RJD candidate Rohini Acharya and BJP candidate Rajeev Pratap Rudy blamed each other for the violence. It was a display of 'jungle raj' by RJD workers and nothing new for them, as they had track record of resorting to violence, Rudy remarked.
