Itanagar, Mar 12 (Reporter) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik said that the newly inaugurated 'One Station One Product Stall’ at the Naharlagun Railway station premises will facilitate the mission of ‘Vocal for Local’ and will go a long way in economic empowerment of artisans and local people, besides strengthening the ‘Make in India’ ecosystem. The Governor said this while participating in the dedication and laying of foundation stones of various Railway projects, and flagging off of Vande Bharat trains by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually, in a ceremony at Naharlagun Railway Station near here. During the event, Parnaik unveiled the ‘Naharlagun One Station One Product Stall’ plaque of the railway station on behalf of the Prime Minister. He said that it was a historic day for the country as the Prime Minister launched Rs 85,000 Crore Railway projects. Parnaik said that it blends with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat. The Governor, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for the railway connectivity and the ‘One Station One Product Stall’ at Naharlagun and Bhalukpong. He said that at the initiative of the Prime Minister, railways modernization has taken place in a very rapid mode. Kavach, the indigenously made train Collision Avoidance System is installed in the trains, amenities are improved for the comfortable journey of the passengers, online and real-time information facilities are put in place along with many services, he said. The Governor suggested putting up placards of tourist-interested places, rich flora and fauna, and cultural richness of the State in the Stations to make it presentable and welcoming to visitors and travelers. Expressing his concern for the cleanliness and amenities for travelers in the railway stations, he advised the Railway authority and station officials to ensure that stations are modernized and facilities improved. Parnaik also said that local people and passengers must take pride in the railway stations and contribute to their cleanliness.
