Chennai, Sep 19 (Reporter) One worker was killed and another suffered 100 per cent burns in an explosion at a private cracker manufacturing uni at Sevalpatti village in Venbakottai taluk in the southern Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday. An official release said the blast took place at 0930 hrs. While one worker, Govindaraj (27) was killed on the spot, another worker Gurumurthy (19) suffered 100 per cent burns and was admitted in the ICU at the Sivakasi Government hospital in a critical condition. Expressing deep anguish and grief over the tragedy, Chief Minister M K Stalin announced a solatium of Rs three lakh to the family of Govindaraj and Rs two lakh to the family of Gurumuthy. He also directed the hospital authorities to provide the best of treatment to Gurumurthy. He also offered his heartfelt condolences to Govindaraj's family...////...
