Mumbai, Feb 1 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, Vijay Wadettiwar, on Thursday criticised the central government over presentation of Interim Budget in parliament, calling it not as interim but final one.
Reacting over the budget, he said, "Today, the central government has presented a meaningless budget that cheats the country's farmers, unemployed, common people, working class, and preserves tradition of hitting the taxpayers' wallets."
He said that the central government has slapped Indians with a budget that creates an impression of

By presenting this Interim Budget, the central government has made a desperate attempt to once again show daydream of a developed India, he noted.
Continuing his attack, the Opposition leader said that this is a government that stands behind capitalists and claimed that only BJP's business friendly friends were benefiting.
The corporate tax was reduced but no tax exemption was given to the common man, he said and pointed that this shows who the government cares about.
"Like the leader of the state, the Union Finance Minister used language like I will come again, but this budget is not interim but final," he mocked.
Stating that the Narendra Modi-led government's plans have failed in last nine years, Wadettiwar tried to dismiss the central government's claim of being the social justice government, saying that OBC, AC, ST students do not get scholarships here.
"On one hand the government claims that 25 crore people have been lifted out of the poverty line, on other hand, we give free foodgrains to 80 crore people, as said by the government," he continued.
"The contradiction is obvious. That means the number of people pushed into poverty in the country has increased manifold," he observed.
"Today's budget does not provide anything concrete for the youth or the unemployed. By creating religious frenzy in the country, the government has forced youths to flee the country," he added ...////...
