Mumbai, Jul 3 (Reporter) Senior Congress leader and Maharashtra in-charge, Ramesh Chennithala, on Wednesday called for removal of corrupt Mahayuti government in the state and bring back Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to power. Speaking at a function organised to felicitate Chennithala and state party president Nana Patole for the party's victory in the Lok Sabha elections under their leadership and guidance, he said that the Congress party is a party that takes all sections of society along with it. In upcoming elections, efforts will be made to ensure that all social components get representation, he asserted. The Congress party and the Maha Vikas Aghadi have won a resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, he said. "Now, work in the same way at the district, taluka and booth level for the assembly elections to remove the corrupt Mahayuti government in the state and bring Maha Vikas Aghadi to power," appealed Chennithala. Speaking at the event, MPCC chief Nana Patole attributed the party's massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra to the work of various cells and departments of the State Congress. "All of them went from village to village in the state to spread the Congress ideology and also distributed the justice letter of Congress' five Nyays, 25 guarantees. Accusing the BJP government of spreading fake narratives among people, he said that they passed the bill to give reservation to women with great fanfare, but they are unable to implement it because the census has not been conducted. They are playing with the lives of poor people by giving them plastic rice in the name of free grain, he alleged. During Covid pandemic, they vaccinated people and printed a photo of the Prime Minister on the certificate, he said. Now that it has been revealed that these vaccines are causing deaths, the BJP government has shirked its responsibility, he charged. "The BJP government only does showmanship. It takes no responsibility," he noted. Patole also dismissed Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' claim that one lakh people have been given jobs in the state. "This is also a type of fake narrative," he said and accused BJP of having cheated people by giving them the assurance of 'acche din'. "If they come to power, they will definitely bring 'sacche din'," quipped Patole...////...
