Over 100 International delegates to attend Make in Odisha Conclave: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25 (Reporter) More than 100 international delegates from 20 countries will attend the Make in Odisha Conclave-2025, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhubaneswar on January 28. Describing the two-day conclave as historic in every respect, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said it would serve as a milestone in building a strong economic and industrial infrastructure for Odisha. “Our goal of being among the top five state economies in India will certainly be achieved,” the Chief Minister stated while reviewing the event preparations during a high-level meeting on Friday. The Chief Minister further mentioned that investment proposals worth more than ₹5 lakh crore are expected during the investors’ meet, which is anticipated to generate over 3.5 lakh employment opportunities. He added that Odisha is emerging as a state of immense potential, with over 100 investors scheduled to sign MoUs during the event. Apart from the Prime Minister, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jewel Oram, and Ashwani Vaishnaw will also attend the conclave. The Chief Minister highlighted that more than 7,500 delegates have registered on the Make in Odisha website, including over 100 international delegates from 20+ countries. Additional participation is expected from partner countries like Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia. He revealed that there will be special "Country of Focus" sessions, where delegates from approximately 20 countries will engage in discussions aimed at enhancing Odisha’s profile on the global industrial stage. A ‘Make in Odisha Expo’ will also be held as part of the conclave. Approximately 150 exhibitors will showcase their products, services, and innovations. The expo will be exclusively open to delegates on January 28-29 and will be accessible to the public on January 30. The event will feature three thematic sessions, focusing on ‘Startup Odisha,’ ‘Skilled in Odisha,’ and ‘Women Entrepreneurship through Subhadra.’ Additionally, various roundtable meetings, such as the ‘Women-led Roundtable,’ ‘CEO Roundtable,’ and ‘Editors Roundtable,’ will foster knowledge exchange among industrialists and experts.
