Over 2000 code of conduct violation complaints in Maharashtra: EC

Mumbai, Nov 1 (Reporter) A total of 2062 complaints have been received on the C-Vigil app since October 15 related to the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Election Commission announced on Friday. Of them, 2059 complaints have been settled by the Election Commission. The C-Vigil app, which helps vigilant citizens to adhere to the code of conduct, can be downloaded from any app store. Through this app, citizens can report violations of the code of conduct. After the complaint is filed, appropriate action is taken after investigation by the team concerned. A total of Rs 234 crores 49 lakhs worth of property involving illegal money, liquor, drugs and precious metals have been seized by various enforcement agencies of the state and central governments.
