Bhubaneswar, May 13 (Reporter) BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda alleged on Monday that the video of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released to the press and the people of the state in which the CM commented on PM Modi and talked of "daydreaming" is a "deep fake".
Addressing newsmen here, Panda, who is contesting the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat, said, "I am not saying that the Chief Minister has done it, but it might have been done by a person who is controlling him."
He said it could be discerned by comparing AI-generated video messages of the chief minister from a helicopter with his actual videos in public appearances and pointed out a difference between the video released to the press inside a helicopter and his appearances elsewhere.
When asked whether the party will lodge a complaint before the ECI, Panda said, "We are examining it from a technical point of view and will take appropriate steps at the right time."
The BJP Vice President added that it is being discussed in the state that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had outsourced his government in the state. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also raised the issue in his recently addressed public meetings in Odisha, he remarked.
Panda also, through his X handle, on Sunday said, "It is extremely sad to see Odisha's CM being manipulated like a puppet by his ex-bureaucrat, now 'politician' handler."
He appealed to the people to compare the AI-generated video messages of the Chief Minister recently taken from a helicopter with real videos of his public appearances.
The BJP leader said he feels sorry to see that the chief minister is under the control of one person who is always seen with him, and no other BJD leaders are seen with him.
Patnaik, Panda said, should be rescued from moral confinement by the person who is now controlling everything...////...
