Hyderabad, Jan 26 (Reporter) Telangana resonated with vibrant ceremonial parades, national flag hoisting, and cultural festivities on its 75th Republic Day on Friday. Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, at the state capital's main event held at Public Gardens, Nampally, emphasised the constitutional spirit that unites diverse communities, praising the architects of India's Constitution. The governor highlighted the power vested in citizens to remove rulers deviating from constitutional values. Telangana, she noted, emerged from constitutional inspiration, putting an end to a decade-long government against democratic principles. The people's government, focused on revitalising constitutional principles, has already initiated measures for democracy, welfare, and development. The Governor commended the commitment to equal opportunities, social justice, and freedom by the newly elected government, with two of the six guarantees already implemented. Notably, over 11 crore women have availed themselves of free transportation services under the “Mahalaxmi Scheme.” Acknowledging financial challenges inherited from the past government, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's administration is determined to propel Telangana to global competitiveness. The government prioritises realising citizens' aspirations and welfare, receiving over 1.25 crore applications for various guarantees. Dr. Soundararajan expressed concerns about the neglect of youth employment in the previous decade and assured that the government is actively working to provide jobs. The state's remarkable achievement of securing Rs 40,232 crore in investments was lauded, and the governor extended heartfelt congratulations. The commitment to farmers' wellbeing was emphasised, highlighting initiatives such as 24-hour free power supply and the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The government is actively engaged with banks for a Rs 2 lakh loan waiver scheme. Addressing past accessibility issues, the governor assured a more citizen-friendly approach, encouraging public grievances at Praja Vani programs. The government's performance, aligned with constitutional values, aims for the welfare of all communities, inspired by Dr. BR Ambedkar.
