Speaking at a meeting for Secunderabad Assembly Constituency polling booth presidents and coordinators held at Marri Krishna Reddy Hall, Vijaypuri Colony, Tarnaka on Saturday, Reddy emphasised the need for unity and hard work among BJP ranks.
In his first visit after assuming the role of Union Coal and Mines Minister, Reddy criticised the newly formed Congress government in Telangana, stating that it is not undertaking any development work, similar to the previous BRS government.
He highlighted the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past ten years, noting that Modi's development programs have made India competitive with top countries globally, leading to his re-election.
Reddy expressed gratitude to the people of Secunderabad for electing him for a second term and assured them of his continued support and assistance. He thanked the central leadership for entrusting him with the position of Minister of Coal and Mines and committed to doing justice to his department.
Reddy reiterated the BJP's goal of forming the government in Telangana in 2029, stressing the importance of unity among party members. He mentioned the upcoming redistribution of constituencies before the next election, which will include an increase in SC/ST constituencies and more opportunities for women due to women's reservations.
He speculated that the upcoming elections might be held simultaneously with the Parliamentary Assembly elections. Reddy criticised the Congress party for not fulfilling its promises to various groups, including women, youth, farmers, and the unemployed.
He also mentioned the defeat of BRS in the assembly elections and the loss in the parliament elections, attributing it to the people's rejection of family rule and arrogance.
Reddy called for the BJP to raise its flag in the upcoming Hyderabad Corporation elections and highlighted the Modi government's support for savings societies. He urged the party workers to work diligently over the next four years to achieve their goals in the state.
He expressed his commitment to the development of Telangana and Secunderabad, promising to secure the necessary funds and resources for the state's growth.
