Mumbai, June 21 (Reporter) The opposition MVA component Congress has alleged that just three months after its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cracks have appeared on the Atal Setu and half-a-kilometer stretch of the road part in Navi Mumbai has sunk by one foot.
"The Mahayuti government has crossed all limits of corruption," said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee(MPCC) President Nana Patole on Friday.
"The previous BJP government in Karnataka was 40% commission-based, but the Mahayuti government is 100% commission-based," he said.
Patole inspected the Atal Setu along with media representatives and pointed out the potholes on the road.
"The state government has spent Rs 18,000 crore on the Sewree- Nhava Sheva project and has taken a loan from the bank for this. This is not development but corruption and the government is filling its own pockets and playing with the lives of the people," he said.
"The name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been given to this project, it is unfortunate to do corruption in his name," the MPCC chief said.
"The project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, he should have inspected the project properly before the inauguration. But Modi is the chief of corruption in the country. They threaten with ED, CBI all those who are corrupt and then make them ministers by taking them into BJP," he added...////...
