Pawar reviews annual plans of four departments

Mumbai, Jan 24 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday instructed the senior officers of various departments that information about the facilities, concessions, and incentives provided to the industries by the state should be conveyed through the 'Maitri' room. He was speaking in a state-level review meeting regarding the annual programme 2024–25 planning of four departments, namely Social Justice, Labour, Information and Public Relations, and Industry, at Sahyadri Guest House. He said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has planned an ambitious programme to make the country's economy worth five trillion dollars by 2028. Maharashtra has prepared an action plan to contribute one trillion dollars to this. "The role of the industry's labour department will be important for achieving this goal. All licences required for the expansion of existing industries, including the setting up of new industries, should be issued in a minimum amount of time. More concessions and incentives should be given for setting up industries in rural areas," he said. While giving guidance on the annual plans of the departments, Pawar said that schemes that will provide employment to the youth of the state, directly benefit the citizens, increase the per capita income, and increase the revenue of the state will be encouraged through the annual plans. Incentives announced for entrepreneurs will be fulfilled in time to increase the confidence of entrepreneurs in the state.
