PM given warm welcome on arrival at Nashik

Nashik, Jan 12 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived here on Friday to grace the National Youth Festival , was given rousing reception by thousands of Nashikers. Soon after Prime Minister Modi arrived at the Nilgiri Bagh Helipad he went on a road show from Hotel Mirchi Chowk to Tapovan in an open jeep decorated with flowers. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Chandrashekhar Bawankule accompanied the Prime Minister. People in large numbers including women and children carrying placards were seen standing on both sides of the road and chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' with enthusiasm and were eager to have a glimpse of the Prime Minister. Various cultural troupes dressed in colourful costumes ,beating drum and traditional instruments were seen dancing on the entire route to welcome Modi. Youth groups from various places presented Mallakhamba a traditional art form on this occasion. The Dindi, which came from Trimbakeshwar and consisted of Bal Varkaris, attracted special attention. Artists also performed Tribal and traditional folk dances, Punjabi dances to welcome Prime Minister. The youths welcomed the Prime Minister with Tricolor and saffron flags in their hands .
